I received my first international order from a neighbouring country, Indonesia via daydreymer.com YaY!

Since it's her best friend's birthday today, our sender decided to send her a box of cupcakes as a surprise. This is the final product. I'm off to deliver these Mini 36 Fluffy Vanilla goodies to Farah.

I hope the birthday girl enjoys them. You're a good friend, WE!

How do I explain my absence in blogging? I guess there isn't any good explanation. So let's continue as if I've been blogging frequently.

I'm off to the land rich in history - Greece! Who am I kidding! I wish. OK, it's Melaka and I'm really looking forward to the many, many attractions there; the Menara Taming Sari, plenty of photo opps, and chicken rice ball (yah, so gimmicky and touristy).

I promise you that I'll be back to blog about my short getaway. Ciao!

By WIDE ANGLE – Huzir Sulaiman

Our political situation is like something out of a movie – so here are the awards. The envelope, please…

The Wide Angle Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, headquartered for no particular reason in Skudai, presents this year’s Malaysian Political Oscars.

The most widely watched television event in Malaysia, the Political Oscar telecast reaches over 1 billion viewers, some of whom are dead, some of whom are 130 years old, and most of whom are registered at the same address.

Psalm 141 Print E-mail

A psalm of David. LORD, I call to you; come quickly to help me; listen to my plea when I call.

Let my prayer be incense before you; my uplifted hands an evening sacrifice.

Set a guard, LORD, before my mouth, a gatekeeper at my lips.

Do not let my heart incline to evil, or yield to any sin. I will never feast upon the fine food of evildoers.

Let the just strike me; that is kindness; let them rebuke me; that is oil for my head. All this I shall not refuse, but will pray despite these trials.

When their leaders are cast over the cliff, all will learn that my prayers were heard.

As when a farmer plows a field into broken clods, so their bones will be strewn at the mouth of Sheol.

My eyes are upon you, O GOD, my Lord; in you I take refuge; do not strip me of life.

Guard me from the trap they have set for me, from the snares of evildoers.

Into their own nets let all the wicked fall, while I make good my own escape.

I've been reduced to using my cellphone to take pics. It's absolutely pathetic because I love taking macro shots and my W580i doesn't have that capability to do so. What to do... I will have to patiently wait for it.

Here are a couple of birthday pics.

Kailing's birthday dinner @ Mizu, Bangsar.

We had yummy sirloin steak, cod, sushi and garlic fried rice. Right after that, we had drinks at La Bodega and there was a live jazz band. We wanted to get the singer to sing 'Unforgettable' (Trish and I were having trouble thinking of really oldie songs - I kept trying to remember what dad would sing during his karaoke sessions). Unfortunately, the singer didn't have the lyrics so they played an instrumental version instead.

I did take a clip of the song and the dedication to our birthday grrl but all got stolen! Stupid thief.

What a great song it would have been for GKL since we've learnt that she'll be leaving us soon 2 years (or more!) Who knows what the future will hold for her Smile

Seira's Birthday Dinner @ Relish, Changkat BB

I was not the latest! Here's birthday grrl and I at Relish. They serve gourmet burgers and the best part is, you can have protein style servings i.e. without the bun. No pics of the food by me, unfortunately.

Kacau only. I was still trying to pick something to order but we were taking pics already!

If you've noticed now, we were all in black. Another thematic birthday.

The Black Theme

Of course, there were others who were non-conformers. All and all, it was a good sober Friday night! Smile Which reminds me, it has been a looooooooooooong time since I had a real party hearty night.
